Viswanath Ramaswamy (Vishy) is responsible for sales of all IBM Cloud, Security, Cognitive, Server, Storage portfolio across IBM India and South Asia, and leads Hybrid Cloud Integration, Data Platform, AI, Security Software, Security Services, and Cognitive Applications (Blockchain & IOT Platforms) businesses.
In his previous role, Vishy was the Director - Systems (India/South Asia) since April 2016. Under his leadership, IBM Systems business witnessed unprecedented growth, gaining market share across every platform of the business. His ability to balance transactional business, build deep client relationships, strategically embed new technologies like Cloud & AI helped offer integrated business solutions to clients, making it a ONE IBM collaborative deals to win in the marketplace.
Prior to this appointment, he has held various leadership appointments in the Systems and Technology business in IBM, India South Asia.
Vishy began his career with IBM (Team Blue Batch) in 1999 as a Sales Specialist for the Netfinity Business solutions unit. In his 12 years with IBM, he has undertaken many senior roles in ASEAN and ISA, including that of a Project Executive of STG, Country Business Executive of System x & Intellistations. He also had a brief stint at EMC India as Director, Partners & Strategic Alliances, wherein he was the Business owner for the entire Channels in EMC India/SAARC across their complete product lines.
Vishy is an MBA (Gold Medallist) from Symbiosis Center for Management & HRD (SCMHRD), Pune, and Bachelor’s in Engineering from one of the premier institutes, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS, Pilani).
