Vice President, IBM India Software Labs
As the Vice President, IBM India Software Labs, Vishal is responsible for driving innovation, product engineering development, product management, and design of IBM Software in Data & AI, Automation, Security, and Sustainability. In this role, he leads the Global Delivery Center (GDC) of Technology Expert Labs in India, a team of experts that drives the adoption of IBM software, servers, and storage for clients across the globe.
Prior to this role, Vishal served as the Director of IBM Automation, where he focused on driving innovation in the automation space and enabling organizations to harness the power of Watson Orchestrate and RPA to unlock new levels of productivity and operational excellence.
Vishal joined IBM in 1999, and has held several technical and leadership roles across product development, pre-sales, cross-BU collaborations, and System Integrators. He is a seasoned leader with a deep expertise and understanding of designing and implementing AI-powered solutions in sectors such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, aviation, and healthcare.
In addition to his other responsibilities, Vishal is also in charge of driving technology-led innovations for clients, co-creation with GSIs, and establishing strong relationships with the Government and Academia for the adoption, deployment, and consumption of IBM’s software products.
Vishal is a B.Tech in Computer Science.
