Kamal heads IBM Consulting in IBM India & South Asia.

A career spanning over two and a half decades, Kamal has undertaken a wide range of information technology, operations and strategic consulting assignments. He has helped customers in India, Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region meet their business objectives using Consulting Services, Systems Integration, Total Outsourcing Solutions & other Information Technology Services offerings of IBM.

Working across multiple client industries, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Airports, Consumer Products & Retail, he has built a deep understanding of the India business and developed client relationships with CXO’s across India & Asia Pacific.

Kamal started his consulting career with PwC India in 1999 and transitioned into IBM as a result of IBM’s acquisition of PwC’s management consulting practice. Over the last nineteen years in IBM, he has successfully led various roles of regularly increasing the responsibility of the business consulting services at IBM across the AP region. He has been instrumental in creating a successful consulting practice for IBM in India. Under his leadership, the industry consulting and services practice at IBM has grown multifold in the last ten years. His focus has always been on helping clients and global organizations achieve their business objectives through operational excellence and business transformation.

An electrical engineer graduate, he also holds a master’s degree in Management & Systems from IIT Delhi. His interests include business process transformation, people management and stock market investments.
