Vice President, Technology, IBM India & South Asia
Gaurav Agarwal is the Vice President, Technology for IBM India & South Asia responsible for driving the business and sales of IBM’s AI, Hybrid Cloud, Data, Automation and Security solutions portfolio across the region. He focuses on accelerating large-scale enterprise transformations, deepening engagement with enterprise and public sector clients, and aligning IBM’s technology portfolio with clients’ long-term business and ecosystem priorities. His role centers on driving growth through strategic partnerships, innovation-led transformation, and outcome-based client success.
This is Gaurav’s second stint at IBM. During his earlier stint spanning over 15 years, he held multiple leadership roles across IBM’s Systems & Technology Group and Software Middleware business. Gaurav began his career at IBM in 1999 as a Sales Specialist and went on to lead high performing sales and pre-sales teams, forge strategic partnerships with leading system integrators, and drive marquee wins across BFSI, telecom, government, and IT/ITES sectors.
Prior to IBM, Gaurav has served various leadership roles in technology companies like Automation Anywhere, VMware, Symantec India and Cisco, where he drove go-to-market strategies and business growth across India.
Gaurav holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka.
